About

Austen Earp is an accomplished musician, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and artist whose work is driven by a deep passion for uniting people through the power of creative expression. From his early days studying classical piano at the age of 7, Austen demonstrated an exceptional talent, which led him to pursue music and art at the university level by the time he was 15. This early immersion into the academic and creative worlds shaped Austen’s unique approach, blending classical techniques with contemporary innovation.


Austen’s career is marked by a series of groundbreaking projects that highlight his versatility and depth as an artist. His work spans genres as varied as rock, metal, folk, blues, and classical music, reflecting a fearless curiosity and an ongoing desire to push creative boundaries. Whether performing with a full band or composing intricate studio productions, his music serves as a bridge between worlds — cerebral yet deeply human, sophisticated and raw.


Beyond his work as a performer and songwriter, Austen is also the founder and owner of Darkroot Studios where he serves as both producer and writer. At Darkroot, Austen collaborates with a wide range of artists, helping them to bring their musical visions to life. His production style is characterized by a keen ear for detail, a deep understanding of both the technical and emotional aspects of musical composition, and an ability to elevate the work of those he partners with.


In addition to his professional accomplishments, Austen is a passionate educator. As a piano and guitar teacher, he draws on his classical training to guide his students through the complexities of music, encouraging them to develop their technical skills while also exploring their creative potential. His teaching is rooted in the belief that music is not just a skill to be mastered, but a language through which individuals can express their deepest emotions and connect with others.
